Kangpokpi, October 16 2021:
After the closure and suspension of admission process of JNV Tuinom by Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Churachandpur, the student bodies' Sadar Hills unit also declared cessation of all admission activities related to JNV Kangpokpi with immediate effect over alleged fraudulent and faulty admission process.
KSO, Sadar Hills education secretary K Songreng Kom informed that it has been compelled to suspend all admission processes of JNV Kangpokpi as fraudulent and faulty admission has been detected.
He pointed out that as per Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) eligibility criteria Rule No 4.1, only candidates hailing from the district concerned where the JNV is located are eligible to apply for admission and the selected students on the basis of the test conducted will be admitted only in the JNV located in the district from where they are studying in.
However, after a thorough checking and examination of the admission process, it came to light that some of the schools within the district committed forgery to enable some students appear in the JNV Kangpokpi selection test, he added.
The student leader also recalled that some years back KSO Sadar Hills had found some schools issuing fake certificates to students who were not admitted in their own schools, violating all norms and guidelines laid down for admission.
He warned that if any of the students were found admitted to the JNV Kangpokpi with false documents and any school is found issuing certificates to students not admitted in their schools, then KSO Sadar Hills in collaboration with the authority concerned will take up stringent action against the headmasters/headmistresses of the schools which are issuing the fake certificates.
KSO Sadar Hills will not remain a silent spectator if the issues and problems are not solved on time, he added.
