Imphal, December 12 2013:
The process of sending articles or goods through post-office medium is no longer a reliable process.
Not even a month has passed when people found out of articles consecutively stolen worth Rs 15,000 and Rs 50,000 from the post office on December 3 and 4 that the state is yet again witnessing another theft.
This time the person facing the big loss is Dr..LMeiraba of Kwakeithel, Imphal who received goods sent to him in a much lesser amount which is supposed to be a total of 3.475 kg.
The parcel which included articles like car perfume, soft leather material and woolen sweater were sent to him by Shelly Devi from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
According to Meiraba, he had received the goods on December 6 even though the parcel had arrived Imphal on December 3 and received only goods of 1.68 kg with a broken shield of the packing.
Regarding the theft, Meiraba had made a complaint to the post office authority but no proper action has been taken so far.
Showing his disappointment towards the service of the post office authority, he urged the concerned organizations to look into the matter so that the thieves can be caught and punished.
