Wanted KCP cadre held in Paraolon ambush case

A KCP cadre who was declared wanted in connection with the Paraolon ambush case has been arrested by a combined team of NIA, Gorkha Rifles and Bishnupur police.
NIA had announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh for information leading to his arrest.
According to a source, the cadre identified as Moirangthem Nimaichand Meitei @ Rakesh @ Laloi (22) s/o Ranjit of Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai Ward No 6 was apprehended from Ningthoukhong area on February 3 last.
It is said that NIA had also announced cash rewards ranging from Rs 2-7 lakh for information leading to the arrest of 24 cadres belonging to NSCN (K), KYKL and KCP for their involvement in the ambush.
Mention may be made that 18 armymen of 6 Dogra Regiment were killed and at least 11 injured when militants ambushed their convoy at Paraolon village, in Chandel district on June 4, 2015 in what is being described as the worst casualties the Army has suffered in recent years.
