Joykumar harps on bolstering entrepreneurship development

Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh today inaugurated Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Technologies Display and Dissemination Facility Centre at Takyelpat.
The centre which has been developed in collaboration with Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai and built up in the office complex of Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC) comprises a tissue culture laboratory, an exhibition hall and a green house.
Speaking after the inauguration of the centre, Deputy CM Joykumar said that technologies which have been developed by BARC are very impressive and it will cater the needs mostly for rural population.
He said that it is an encouraging step that BARC has done good research work and developing new innovations which can easily be applied for gainful purposes.
Being a pioneering institute in the field of research, BARC has done a lot of research work not only in the field of atomic energy but also in various sectors like industries which will boost industrial growth in the country, he acknowledged.
He further said that technologies which have been developed so far should be disseminated to the people so that it can be applied in various fields.
