MHHDCL BOD recommends service regularisation

Imphal, October 28 2021:
The board of directors (BOD) of Manipur HandToom and Handicraft Development Corporation Limited (MHHDCL) has recommended service regularisation of staff members of the corporation along with implementation of 6th Pay Commission.
The corporation will submit the recommendation to the government.
According to a key official of the corporation, the recommendations were adopted during the 151st meeting of the board of directors held on Thursday.
During the discussion of service regularisation and implementation of 6th Pay, the representatives of chief secretary gave their nod on the importance of the two issues.
Later, the meeting agreed to send the recommendations of the board to the chief minister with the request to consider the hardships being endured by the staff members of the corporation.
The meeting also agreed to finalise the audit report for 2021 and to conduct the annual general body meeting.
It also observed the importance of improving the relationship between the corporation and artisans and weavers.
MHHDCL chairman S Achouba chaired the meeting, which was also attended by representatives of chief secretary, textiles commissioner, joint development commissioner handloom, regional director (DC Handicraft), lead district manager - UPI, director handloom & textiles, joint director handloom & textiles, and MHHDCL managing director.
