Speaking to media per-sons, Lup president L Pramo informed that the rally was taken out for peace and to protest against the silence of the government over the on-going violence in the state.
She also asserted that if the government does not facilitate resettlement of people staying in relief camps to their ancestral places then it would akin to inviting for civil war.
She also demanded that state forces should be allowed to discharge their duty as the people of the state do not trust the central forces.
One of the protestors, An-gal Kamei of 'Mani] village said that they do not want violence and want to leave in peace.
One can clearly see that the prevailing situation has risen due to incompetence of the leadership of the govern-ment.
People want harmo-nious coexistence between the hills and the valley as in the past, she added.

It should bring out a solution at the earliest, otherwise the people will resort to mass agitation, she cautioned.
