TSA condemns

Imphal, November 25 2014:
The Thadou Students' Association had today vehemently condemned the inhuman action of the personals of 44 Assam Rifles post at Chassad, Kamjong in Ukhrul district , in an incident where 12 villagers of Aishi were brutally assaulted and tortured at their camp, said a release.
They claimed that bike owners at the village of Aishi was summoned to the AR outpost at Konkan in Ukhrul district on November 24, who were then brought to the Chassad/Kamjong post after rigorous mental and physical torture.
While at this outpost they were again treated inhumanly by the police personals and also alleging them of supporting and accommodating the local UGs of the area, said the release.
The students association claimed that these villagers have been tortured for as long as 8 hours in the said camp, in which 12 villagers from the village were severely injured.
In this regard the association had appealed the concern authority of the state to immediately looked into the matter, failing to which the matter will be notified to the Union Home Minister, stated the association.
