Out of the six candidates from the state, who cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2020, two have got IAS and one IPS while the remaining three were provided different allotments on provisional basis as the ministry of personnel and public grievances and pensions, department of personnel and training, All India Service division issued first iteration of service allotment on Tuesday.
According to a notification, Parikshit Thoudam (rank 60) and Waikhom Nydia (rank 180) got Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and Kshetrimayum Deepi Chanu (rank 621) got Indian Police Service (IPS) .
Heikrujam Prasanjeet (rank 578) got provisional allotment as Indian Post & Telecom Account and Finance Service (IP&TAFS) .
Hatchinghoi Haokip (rank 673) got provisional allotment as Indian Defence Account Service (IDAS) while Lourembam Nelson (rank 757) got provisional allotment as Indian Trade Service (ITS) .
However, the result of Civil Services Examination, 2020 shall be subject to the outcome of the Writ Petition(s) (C) No 5153/2020 & 7351/2020 pending before the High Court of Delhi.
Therefore, service allocation to candidates recommended by UPSC on the basis of CSE-2020 is subject to changes as may be necessitated consequentially.
Some services are allocated as provisional because some candidates are ranked higher in the order of merit list and their candidature is not accepted/cleared due to incomplete medical status or they remain provisional on account of verification of certificates pertaining to educational qualification or due to pending verification of claims, of various kinds of reservation, the notification said.
