Death of Chandel Musician condoled

Sirti Upa Ruh (Monsang Tribe Union), Monsang Women Union, Monsang Students' Union, CNPO and All Chandel Artistes Association (ACHAA) have condoled the sudden and untimely demise of Goldliver Khartu Monsang who passed away on May 10 last at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal due to an illness.
In his condolence message made available to the media, Monsang Tribe President Ng Benithan described Goldliver Khartu Monsang as a popular music performing artiste and a well known Key-board player whose sudden demise has created a big vacuum not only in the Monsang community but also to the entire region.
During the funeral service held on May 11 at Japhou Community Hall, Monsang people as a whole expressed deep condolences over the lost of a popular artist like Goldliver Khartu Monsang.
President of CNPO Ws Kanral Anal on behalf of all Chandel people, has also expressed shock over the sad demise of the artiste.
In his condolence message, the president described Goldliver as a 'popular music icon and entertainer of Chandel district.
Sharing the pain and sorrows of the bereaved family, the president prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
It may be mentioned that Goldliver Khartu Monsang was born to Late KH Warngam (father) and Late Ng Tophing (Mother) on December 14, 1975 as the second child among five siblings.
Due to an illness, he was taken to RIMS for treatment on May 8 last.
Despite all possible medical treatment, he breathed his last at 9 pm on May 10 at RIMS.
He is now survived by his wife and son.
