KSA inspects N Tomchou Hr Sec

As part of its "Thong-Manaba Maheiroi Sembagi" mission, a team of Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) made a surprise inspection visit at N Tomchou Higher Secondary School, Mayang Imphal today.
Briefing the media persons in this regard, Bidyananda Sukham, Academic and Community Affairs Secretary of KSA, said that due to lack of attention from both the school authority and concerned department, the co-education school is now full of shortages and underdevelopment in every sphere.
Out of the 25 computers issued by the Government only 13 are in the school; there is no separate toilets for boys and girls and the library and computer rooms were remained closed, Bidyananda informed.
Apart from misusing school development funds, former principal in-charge of the school had even drawn off amounts allocated for school students union, he added.
Referring to the existing problem of class XI admission in some higher secondary schools and ongoing arrangement to accommodate left out students, KSA appealed to the Education Minister to take up some measures to improve the status of educational institutes located in far flung areas.
