The students participating in the rally carried various placards with slogans urging people to stop using tobacco products.
Speaking to media persons, MSF president Ng Milan said that the tobacco abuse is rising at an alarming rate in the State, particularly among the youths.
Narrating about the Opium War of China, the MSF president cautioned that a similar partem can be seen among the youths and the people.
Their lives are being eclipsed by tobacco addication which will harm their ability to think about loyalty and love for their motherland.
On the other hand, Milan urged the Government not to favour some tobacco sellers/ merchants in the grand scheme of banning tobacco products.
MSF will continue its drive against tobacco as well as other drugs and similar items in the future to ensure a better and productive society, he added.
