C-zone clamped in Senapati town

Senapati, May 15 2021:
District magistrate Senapati has declared the town areas of Senapati as containment zone for eight days with effect from 3 pm of Friday in order to break the chain of spreading of Covid-19 in the district.
The step was taken by the district magistrate in view of positive cases being on the rise over the past few days despite utmost precautionary measures being taken up within the district.
Under the order, containment measures including sealing of the geographical area, restriction on entry and exit of population within the containment zone, initiating active surveillance of Covid-19 cases and banning of public gathering of any type will be initiated during the enforcement period.
In this connection, all types of business establishments, plying of vehicles except those exempted from the purview of the containment have come to a halt after 3 pm of Friday.
On the other hand, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Senapati district sanitised the whole compound of Senapati District police station including the family quarters.
Speaking on the occasion IRCS, Senapati district chairman K L Louno Andrew mentioned that the need to sanitise the Police station was requested by the Senapati police station OC Tezii L L .
Later, Senapati police station OC expressed gratitude to the IRCS team for their selfless sacrifice for the betterment of all, as well as their initiatives to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the district.
