Hill Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit organised across state

The second edition of the District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit was held at multipurpose hall, Mini Secretariat, DC complex, Chandel on Friday.
During the programme, deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar and SDOs of district's three sub-divisions interacted with the village leaders and discussed their issues one by one.
Applications of various issues related to developmental works and others were received for necessary actions.
As part of the programme different departments like health, social welfare, agriculture, etc., rendered services to many individuals of the district.
ITI Chandel also facilitated spot admission for various ITI courses.
Besides providing other services many people were administered Covid vaccine doses by the CMO team.
On the other hand, the health department took care of matters related to Birth certificates, disability online registration, CMHA screening, PMJAY verifications etc.
TENGNOUPAL: The district administration held its second District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit" 2022 at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner.
DC Mannuamching during her interaction the village heads/chairman appealed for registration of new births to enable the department concerned issue birth certificates at the earliest.
The DC also instructed the department concerned to check if potable drinking is adequately supplied throughout the district.
A total of 19 departments opened their stalls to assist the people access government-sponsored schemes.
During the day's event, CAF & PD provided ration cards to 620 beneficiaries, DPO/ICDS issued 14 PMMVY forms and enrolled 47 for Aadhaar cards, PHED issued a booklet on water testing kit, forest department distributed 626 plant saplings and health department issued 20 CMHT cards while 30 beneficiaries were screened and 9 people were vaccinated.
Revenue and relief & disaster departments received one query each as MSPCDL sold 120 LED bulbs (9w) at subsidised rate, social welfare received 18 applications for old age pension scheme and 4 applications for widow pension scheme, ZEO received one application for school repairing and distributed 12 school uniforms, RD & PR issued 17 job cards and 2 work orders for construction of Amrit Sarovar and also received 12 applications for construction of PMAY-G houses.
KAMJONG: The 2nd District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit for Kamjong district was held at the Sadbhavna Hall, Kasom Khu-llen sub-divisional headquarters.
Deputy commissioner Rangn-amei Rang Peter, superintendent of police P Manjit, Kasom Khullen SDO Duna Duo, and other district level officers from various departments in the district attended the event.
The event witnessed hundreds of people in attendance.
The district level offices (DLOs) opened their mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public.
Among the most active stalls were CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, district veterinary office, district forest office, CAP & PD, SDO office, etc.
The DC along with the chief medical officer of the district handed over one CMHT card and one PMJAY card that were immediately processed on the spot.
Also, the stall of the CMO was thronged by many people to avail various free health-related services offered.
The stall of CAF & PD also issued ration cards to many beneficiaries on the spot while district forest office distributed 1000 plant saplings.
On the sidelines of the event, DC Rangnamei Rang Peter stressed the importance of such an event, especially in a remote district, like Kamjong, where people face inconveniences to avail benefits arranged by the government.
He also informed that the next Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit will be held in Phungyar sub-division.
KAKCHING: The district administration organised its second "Meeyamgi Numit" (People's Day) at the deputy commissioner s office complex.
Altogether, 27 departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances.
During the event, vaccination and health check-up counters were setup by health department where 17 persons availed the services.
Under handlooms and textiles, 5 each weavers' cards and yarn passbooks were issued.
Kakching Municipal Council registered 13 births & deaths, and also processed street vendor and shop registrations.
Under ZEO, Kakching 8 IED (aids & appliances), one wheel chair, 3 hearing aids and 4 MR Kits were distributed.
Awareness on various schemes for farmers was conducted by District Agriculture Office, Thoubal/ Kakching.
SDO, Kakching issued 35 income certificates, 17 birth certificates, one each certificate of death and distance and 3 residence certificates.
SDO, Waikhong issued 12 income certificates and 48 birth certificates while Langmeidong CD Block issued 124 birth certificates and 2 death certificates.
A total of 163 applications were received by Craftsmen Training Scheme, Govt Industrial Institute.
Under Food Safety Administration, Kakching, three food licenses were processed.
As many 147 applications were received by the district by District Social Welfare Office and Forest department distributed 514 seedlings free of cost to 81 persons.
