LPG bulk transportation starts from WB to Silchar

Under a special initiative taken up by the IOC in view of the acute scarcity of LPG in the State, transportation of Manipur bound bulk LPG from West Bengal to Silchar has started .
IOC Imphal Divisional Retail Sales Office's Deputy General Manager cum State Level Coordinator Sinam Ibungoton informed The Sangai Express that 30 LPG bullets have been arranged for transportation of LPG from the loading points of Silchar to the State.
Half of these LPG bullets are expected to reach Sekmai bottling plant by September 28 .
In view of the acute scarcity of LPG in the State, all arrangements have been made to transport LPG in bulk to Manipur once bulk LPG is available at the loading points of Silchar .
The 30 TTs would take Imphal-Jiribam highway .
Under the special measures taken up by IOC for the State, transportation of bulk LPG from Rani Nagar, West Bengal to the loading points of Silchar has begun .
Citing information received from the State Government, Ibungoton said that there may be movement of convoys of tanker truck on September 28 .
As such, 15 TTs of Assam which have been arranged to bring bulk LPG to Manipur are likely to arrive at Sekmai bottling plant on the same day .
In the meantime, loading of Manipur bound LPG TTs and trucks is being done on priority basis at different loading points located in Assam and Nagaland .
At the same time, bottling of LPG has been going on everyday at Sekmai bottling plant and there is LPG stock for four days at the plant, Ibungoton added.
