Abducted four labourers still traceless

Imphal, April 25 2013:
The whereabouts of the four labourers engaged in construction of railway tunnels in Thingtupung in Tamenglong district who have been reportedly abducted by suspected Kuki militants on the night of April 24 remained unknown till today.
According to police report, the four abducted labourers are Babu Ali (32) of Assam; Rohimuddin Majumdar (25) of Assam; Dinwar Hussain (22) of Assam and Sanjoy Kumar of Bihar.
All four of them are engaged in construction of railway tunnel number II at Thingtup.
Though Jiri Police Commandos, Tousem Police and OC of Nungba have carried out extensive search operation in suspected areas, the whereabouts of the abducted labourers still remain unknown.
Though the exact reason is not known, police suspected that the abduction may be related to monetary demands.
