Guardians express concern about children's future

Lack of sponsors as well as proper nearby schools, have cast a cloud of uncertainty regarding the future of 24 youths from Sangaithel.
Speaking to media persons at the campus of Vocational Guide School Sangaithel today, one Ningthoujam Rajen, talking on behalf of parents of the 24 students, said that Sangaithel village has one LP School.
Apart from the Vocational Guide School, a private school which has been recognised by the Government till Class VIII, a Government UJB School is also situated around 3 kilometres away at Maklang.
For the poor people of Sangaithel, they have to send their students to the Vocational Guide School.
Only the rich, can afford to send their children to far off schools.
He continued that the 24 students/children used to study at the private school under the Corporate Social Responsibility programme of Salai Holdings Pvt Ltd till the last academic session.
However, the issue of sponsorship is now under question, he lamented, appealing the authorities concerned and all the well-wishers to provide necessary support to ensure a future for the 24 students.
