Banian's play invited for Guwahati festival

Imphal, February 18 2014 :
Banian Repertory Theatre's widely acclaimed play 'Rajarshi Bhagyachandra', written by Dr MC Arun and directed directed by MC Thoiba has been invited for the RG Baruah Drama Festival, 2014 to be held from February 24 to 28 at Guwahati, Assam under the sponsorship f Jyotirupa Assam.
The play would be stage on February 27 at Rabindra Bhavan, Guwahati.
Produced in 2005, Rajarshi Bhagyachandra has been widely acclaimed for its new dimension in production style and creating provocation among the audience to have a new outlook on Manipuri contemporary society.

The play depicts the crucial period of the 18th century in the history of Manipur.
The play has earlier participated in the 12th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, 2012 organised by National School of Drama, New Delhi, Abhinaya National Theatre Festival, 2011 and 2012 at Hyderabad and Tirupati.
