Kamjong denizens screened under CMHA

Joint director of health services and CMHA state nodal officer Dr Y Premchandra has informed that screening for 10 NCDs on around 2000 residents of Kamjong district has been completed under the Chief Minister's Health for All (CMHA) programme.
During launch of the next phase of NCD screening for the district in five more villages undei CMHA as well as Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) observance held at Kamjong district hospital, Dr Premchandra said that screening facilities for 10 different non-communicable diseases are provided free of cost under the CMHA.
Any person found suffering from any one of these NCDs will be given free treatment and medication under the scheme, he said.
While informing that screening of around 2000 villagers in 15 villages of the district has been completed, Dr Prem chandra also said that the department is targeting to complete screening of the remaining 4018 adult population of the district by the end of September this year.
He also said that free telemedicine services are being provided to the public under the scheme, which will reduce hospital visit by many patients suffering from diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
It will also help many people living in interior parts of the state, he added.
Kamjong Block SDO Samuel T Lhungdim and Kamjong District Hospital CMO Dr Lucy Duidang attended the programme organised by District Health Society, Kamjong, as chief guest and president respectively.
