Union ministers arrive today

Imphal, January 04 2022:
Union minister of state for railways Ashwani Kumar Chaube will be arriving here on Wednesday.
Ashwani Kumar is scheduled to land at the Imphal airport at 11 am and take part in a meeting of intellectuals to be held at City Convention Centre.
Chief minister N Biren Singh, Union minister of state RK Ranjan, MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, BJP Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra, BJP state president A Sharda Devi and other party leaders will also take part in the intellectual meet.
Meanwhile, BJP national office has sent one each observer for each of the assembly constituency of the state and most of them have reached their designed assembly constituencies to assess party's position.
A party source informed that Union home minister Amit Shah will be visiting the state on January 6 and take part in election campaign.
On the other-hand, Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Ramdas Athawale will be arriving here on Wednesday on a two-day visit to the state.
According to a release issued by PIB Imphal, Athawale will meet social welfare officers and other officials who are looking after Scheduled Caste Issues in the state at Classic Grande Imphal followed by a media briefing.
Later in the day he will call on chief minister N Biren.
He will leave for New Delhi the next day after some local engagements, it said.
