State level spelling competition held

Imphal, June 02 2013:
Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) organised the 2nd State Level Spelling Competition for V-VII classes and VII-IX classes at Johnstone Higher Secondary School here today.
From around 600 students from private and government schools who participated in the competition, 11 students from class VIII to X and 12 students from class V to VII were selected for the final round of the competition.
Along with a citation and memento, the first three toppers in each category would be awarded cash prize of Rs 10,000 (first); Rs 7,000 (Second) and Rs 5,000 (third) respectively.
Apart from that, selected 10 other students from both the categories would be given consolation prizes consisting citation and memento.
Supporting the demand for implementation of Inner Line Permit in the state, all the participants and organizers wore Inner Line Permit badges during the competition.
