PFI threatens to launch stir

Popular Front of India (PFI), Manipur State unit has warned of launching a series of intense agitation until justice is delivered in connection with the death case of Md Neimuddin, a Class VI student of Kakching Model High School, who was killed by bullets of security personnel on July 18 last at Sora.
Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club here today, Benjamin M Shah, former state secy of PFI, Manipur State unit, informed that the JAC formed in connection with the incident had already submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister urging for initiating action against those involved in the killing.
He also said another reminder was also submitted to the CM in August but no positive response has been given so far.
He further said that yet another memorandum was submitted by the PFI, Manipur State to the Governor on November 19 following request from the deceased's family and JAC as the State Government fails to take up necessary action.
Asserting that the PFI, Manipur State will be pressing the State Government to initiate stringent action against the security personnel involved in the case and that it has geared up for launching intense agitation if action is not taken up at the earliest, Benjamin appealed to the public to extend for co-operation and support to the proposed agitation in the interest of justice.
