Leibi villagers seek help

While interacting with the media person, chairman, village authority Th Angkha ofLeibi village in Tengnoupal district said that villagers of Leibi khunja are facing hardship due to scarcity of paddies following the attack of rodents on their food stock last year and decried that the Government did not extend any help to the villagers after their grievances has been aired to the concerned authority.
He continued that the road that connect Leibi village to NH-102 was constructed under PMGSY but due to frequent landslide during the monsoon season, villagers of Leibi village toiled hard to see a doctor or refer to a hospital if somebody fell sick.
Sometimes the villagers also cleared the debris using heavy machinery like JCB to connect with other villages.
While pointing out that villagers also suffered due to the non-availability of electricity during the rainy season, he urged the authority concerned to look into the matter so that the grievances of the villagers can be addressed at the earliest.
