Five from state pass CAPF exam

Five candidates from Manipur are among the 264 successful candidates of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination 2019, the results of which were declared on Monday.
Based on the results of the written part of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2Q19 held on August 18, 2019 and the interviews for Personality Test conducted from November 2 to 27, 2020, the list of finally recommended candidates was notified which included a total of 264 candidates for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Reservation break-up for the posts are general (132 including one ex-serviceman), OBC (81 including six ex-servicemen), SC (30 including three ex-servicemen), and ST (21 including two ex-servicemen).
Result of one candidate in the OBC category has been kept withheld on the directive of the High Court of Gauhati.
In accordance with the directions of the High Court of Delhi in the pending matters pertaining to EWS category candidates, all 30 vacancies reported under the EWS category were kept unfilled till the matters were finally decided by the Court.
Result of 10 EWS candidates who were qualified for the examination at General Qualifying Standard, however, was released as General category candidates for the time being till their status under EWS category is decided.
