Teacher's Quarters of Monbi Primary School Inaugurates

The newly constructed Teacher's Barrack type Quarters of Monbi Primary School under Autonomous District Council (ADC) was inaugurated by T Sheikhothang Haokip, Executive Member ADC Chandel at Lonpi Village in Chandel District on Friday.
TK Moshilpha, Inspector of Schools and Letpao Haokip, Special Contractor graced the inaugural function of the building which was constructed under Special Plan Assistance 2013-14 as the Functional President and Guest of Honour respectively.
During the inaugural function, T Sheikhothang Haokip, Executive Member ADC Chandel handed over the newly constructed building to the school managing Committee after inaugurating the new building.
Khupsei Haokip, Chief of Lonpi Village; N Yaiskul Singh, Assistant Engineer PWD and L.Yampu Baite Deputy Inspector of Schools also attended the inaugural function of the newly constructed Teacher's quarters building among other.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, T Sheikhothang Haokip, Executive Member of Chandel ADC said that the inauguration of teacher's Barrack type quarter is the first of its kind in the Khengjoy Sub-Division and it was constructed under Special Plan Assistance 2013-14 .
Such Barrack type of Quarters for teacher was constructed to address the problem faced by teachers posted in far flung areas and to ensure regular attendance of teachers in their respective place of posting, he added.
Executive Member further maintained that most of the teachers were reluctant to go to their place of posting on the excuse of non-availability of quarters for them.
But now, the teachers can stay at their quarters and performed their duties even in far flung area, he added.
He also maintained that providing school's infrastructure alone will not bring quality education.
In bringing quality education, the role and responsibility of a teacher is very important.
He appealed the teachers to dedicate themselves and perform their duties sincerely.
