Imphal, May 30 2023:
Kabui Mothers' Associ-ation (KAMA), Manipur general secretary Ranjita Golmei said that the unfortunate incidents since May 3 occurred due to a misunderstanding between two communities.
She said, "The situation has intensified to a large extent because of the misunderstand-ings.
We, all the communi-ties, have been living together peacefully and lovingly in Ma-nipur since time immemorial irrespective of we are from Naga, Meitei, Pangal, Kabui or Kuki orother communities".
Talking to the DIPR, Ranjita Golmei said, "As a general sec-retary of KAMA, I would like to appeal to the Prime Minister and Home Minister at the Cen-tre to bring back normalcy in the state as soon as possible.
Both the central government and the state government should look into the present condition of the displaced people as soon as possible as for how long the displaced people will live in the relief centres.
Testing the patience of the affected people is not a good thing.
Moreover, blockades on the National Highways have also creat-ed a problem for all due to non-availability and price rise of essential items.' She, as a representative of the Association, appealed to the National Media to not spread the news as an issue between the Christians and
non-Christians.
It is a mis-understanding between two communities and this hap-pens sometimes in every part of the world and would like to appeal to the Government of India and all the citizens to intervene as soon as possible to bring an amicable solution to bring peace in the state, she added.
