King Bheigyachandra tried to uplift and develop the art and culture of Manipur.
His contributions should not be forgotten by today's generation, said Gaikhangam and added Manipur's culture might not have been recognized had King Bheigyachandra gave no effort.
Gaikhangam further said that it is not a good sign that today's youth distanced themselves from Nat Sankritan.
Everyone especially youths should try to preserve and promote the State's arts and culture.
Everyone should promote their culture and traditions and show them to the world.
Manipur, though a small state, owns its own distinctive cultures and traditions and can compete with any other states in the world, said Gaikhangam.
