Imphal, March 14 2020:
The All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has drawn the attention of the State Government for rectification of anomalies in the criteria/essential qualification laid down in the notification issued on March 6 by six ADCs for recruitment of primary teachers.
Six CEOs of ADCs under the Department of TA&Hills, GoM issued the notification for recruitment of primary teachers without following the RTE Act 2009, alleged a press release issued by the secretary, information & publicity of ATSUM.
It further alleged that the department concerned deliberately ignored the basic criteria in the RTE Act 2009 and demanded the Government to rectify the criteria/RR at the earliest.
It urged the Government to declare the result for TET, conducted on November 24, while adding that the stipulated time for submission of ADCs teacher application is over.
Saying that the resolution adopted at the office chamber of the CM regarding the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff on need base, was more than 50 percent of the total number of vacancies, it stated that it is imperative to increase certain percentage to a maximum percent in order to prevent acute shortage of teaching & non-teaching staff under ADCs.
