'Resign Home Minister on moral grounds'

Imphal, March 12 2015:
Condemning Wednesday's Khwairamband blast, all Manipur Muslim Organisation Coordinating Committee (AMMOCOC), All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO), United Manipur Muslim Women Development Organisation (UMMWDO) and Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) demanded Home Minister Gaikhangam to resign from his post on moral grounds.
Speaking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club, Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) president Abdullah Pathan condemned the bomb blast that killed three civilians and injured another 24 .
Pathan said many bomb blasts have occurred in the high security zone of Imphal area.
He alleged that the present Home Minister cannot protect the people and so he should be resigned on moral grounds.
Pathan said that Gaikhanagam has promised time again to saveguard the people by installing CCTVs but still the Government has failed to avoid bomb blast and other criminal activities in Imphal city area.
He demanded that the State Government come out with a white paper on the b last incident and asked the concerned organization to clarify on the motive behind the blast that occurred in a crowded place.
Pathan further said that they will support and endorse any agitation taken up by the JAC or organizations protesting against the incident.
