Three leaders of BJP, Manipur Pradesh including former Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Dr Sapam Dhananjoy have left the party and joined to Manipur People Party (MPP) today.
The other two were former minister, Soram Natum and two times candidate in Singjamei Assembly constituency Yurembam Iboyaima.
MPP president, Dr Nimaichand Luwang today, at a press conference confirmed their joining to the party.
He announced that they were now active members of the party.
Expressing that their joining to the party as moral bustern Nimaichand said the party started preparations for the state Assembly elections to be held in 2012.MPP will it best to install a non-Congress government after the 2012 general elections to the state Assembly, he believed.
The ensuing bye-election to Yaskul Assembly Constituency is the beginning of the campaign to oust Congress from power.
Both the three politicians who joined the party are worthy of contesting elections, he observed.
Terming the day as one of his happiest day, former Speaker, Dr S Dhananjoy recalled that he won the election for the first when he was in the party (MPP).
He had joined many national parties but while waiting for high commands' green signal, these parties could not do anything for the people, he criticized.
After knowing that except MPP, there could bring at changes in the state, he returned to the party, he added.
Former minister, S Natum said that his political career started with Congress and joined other parties but differences erupted with the parties led to leaving the parties.
His objective of joining the regional party, MPP is to serve the people independently without the consent of the high commands at New Delhi.
Yurembam Iboyaima who contested election two times at Singjamei A/C said to serve people need sincerity.
Except MPP, other parties could not serve the people of the state.
