NSCN-K on Thursday launched a stinging attack on its former "kilonser", and co-founder of rival faction NSCN (R), K Wangtin Naga, accusing him of plotting a conspiracy with New Delhi to sabotage the Naga freedom movement "on the pretext of ceasefire extension" and of"succumbing meekly" to the threats of India's Home ministry.
In a press release issued today, the publicity wing of NSCN (K) stated that "vociferous" attacks on the outfit were expected from an 'individual like Wangtin with documented anti-Naga and anti-NSCN history." It however reiterated that more than 50 years struggle for Naga sovereignty could never be "dictated, misled or suppressed" by any forces including the government of India.
The outfit advised Wangtin to "first cleanse himself from the blood stained legacy he bequeathed from his own father, uncles, cousins including his own village folks who massacred NSCN's People's Army personnel as late as 1980's" .
The NSCN (K) assured that it was not bothered "with whatever animosity Wangtin may have developed against Paresh Baruah." It stated that Wangtin's "limerick" suggesting the manipulation of Khaplang by Baruah was a mere instance of desperation "at his pre-eminent expulsion by SS Khaplang for his premeditated conspiracy with the GOI to sabotage Naga struggle on the pretext of ceasefire extension" .
