AMBA threatens intense stir over its demands

All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) warned of intense agitation if its demands are not met by the Government within five days.
An emergency extended executive committee meeting of AMBA was held on Friday at the office premises of the association, a release said.
Resolutions were adopted in the meeting.
The association decided to submit representations to the Chief Minister, Chief Justice, High Court of Manipur, and Law & Legislative Minister to demand amendment of Clause (3) of Schedule B under the caption "General Instructions" of the Manipur Judicial Service Rules, 2015 .
Some other demands of the association are reduction of the illegibility cut-off marks Unreserved (UR) Category to 50 percent from the present 60 percent and to 45 percent from the present 50 percent for Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC) in line with other States of the country.
The meeting also decided to launch various modes of intense agitation if the demands are not fulfilled within five days, the release added.
