Two UGs surrendered

Imphal, June 02 2013:
Two underground activists belonging to two different outfits, namely KYKL and KCP, reportedly surrendered to Red Shield Division along with arms and ammunition yesterday.
According to a statement issued by PRO Defence Wing, the KYKL activist identified as SS Sgt S Rakesh alias Wani of Uripak Sorbon Thingel, PO- Lamphel, PS-Lamphel, District Imphal West surrendered to Security Forces of Red Shield Division at 3 PM yesterday with one 9 mm Pistol with Mag and 02 live rounds.
The individual now desires to lead a peaceful life with his family and has laid down arms to the Red Shield Division.
While the surrendered KCP cadre, a woman, has been identified as Pvt Kh Tombi alias Sandhyrani of Phoubakchao under Bishnupur district.
She also surrendered before Security Forces of Red Shield Division with one point 22 revolver and five rounds of point 22 ammunition.
She joined KCP in 2005 and was trained at Tamu Camp, Myanmar.
She was an active cadre of the outfit before laying down her arms before the Security Forces, the statement added.
