PFA Manipur rescues bird

Imphal, October 01 2018:
Peoplefor Animals Manipur rescued 16 wild birds and animals from different parts of the State today in connection with the World Animal Day, today.
Volunteers of PFA Manipur released the birds at locations under Langol Reserved Forest and Keibul Lamjao National Park, after attending to their needs and health and making sure that they are healthy to fly again.
The rescue mission was taken up under the directive of CWW DJN Anand.
The rescued animals were three Slow Loris (Yong Ekaithbi), three Monitor Lizard (Hangkok), one Buzzard (Umaibi), two Common Cobras (Lin Kharou and one Keijenglang (Leopard Cat) .
Later, six Box Turtle (Thengu Amubi) were released at a water body inside Keibul Lamjao National Park.
Sadar West Range, Range Office and his staff along with National park staff were present.
