CM calls for dedication to the nation

The state government today observed the National Re-Dedication Day to commemorate the death anniversary of the late Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi at the Secretariat South Block.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the function, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi said that the observation remind us of the contribution made by the 3rd Prime Minister of India Smt Indira Gandhi for the welfare and development of the nation and appealed for dedicating ourselves to the nation.
She was one of the rare politicians of the world.
She strived for the development of the third world countries and dedicated her life for disarmament among the powerful nations.
She was the chairperson of the Non Aligned Movement and strived to bridge the gap between non alligned nations and developed nations, Ibobi said.

Agriculture Minister Ph Parijat, Works Minister K Ranjit, Chief Secretary DS Poonia and DGP Y Joykumar were among others who attended the observation.
Meanwhile, the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today observed the 27th death anniversary of the late Indian Prime Minister Smt Indira Gandhi at the Congress Bhavan, BT Road.
Congress MLAs, MPCC members, Councilors and workers led by Chief Minister O Ibobi, MPCC President Gaikhangam and MP Thangso Baite offered floral tributes to the photo of the late Prime Minister of India.
Later CM Ibobi urged the gathering to rededicate themselves for the cause of the development of the nations and follow the footprint of India Gandhi.
