Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam who is also the spokesperson of BJP led coalition Government in the State has ruled out possibility of any unwanted development inside the coalition Government.
He was responding to a media query about any possible jolt or re-configuration of the State Government in the backdrop of the resignation of 12 Congress MLAs from their respective posts today.
Radheshyam further stated that the B JP led State Government is still very much intact and any development which would destabilise it is quite remote.
The spokesman maintained that the resignation of 12 Congress MLAs from their respective posts is an internal matter of the Congress party and he refused to make any further comment on the development saying he was not the appropriate authority to speak on Congress party's internal problems.
While informing that mass tree plantations will be carried out across the State as part of the observance of World Environment Day on June 5, the Education Minister stated that around 65,000 tree saplings will be planted by students and teachers at over 1000 schools and other appropriate locations.
The initiative is a joint venture of the State's Education Department, Forest Department and All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU), among other stake holders.
All categories of schools whether they are private, Government-aided or Government can participate at the mass tree plantation, he said while asking all interested schools to submit the number of tree saplings that will be required for the mass tree plantations to the Directorate through the Nodal Officer, SRO (9856651692) and Deepa Th, MES, Assistant Director (9612021357) .
