Medical camp held

Rotary Club organised a 2 day Rotary medical camp at Chalwa village, which is about 102 kms from Imphal, in Kangpokpi district in collaboration with 44 Assam Rifles.
A total of 1450 villagers registered for the medical camp and various diagnostic tests were also performed on the spot.
As a part of the medical camp, 44 AR provided various items including food at a very low cost to the villagers.
The villagers said that the medical camp jointly organised by Rotary Club and 44 AR was the first medical camp in the village, which is just four and half hours from Imphal.
A team of 32 doctors from RIMS, JNIMS and Rotary Club took part in the medical camp under the supervision of Colonel Pradip Kumar, Commandant 44 AR and Colonel Dr Shyam Sunder, Chief Medical Officer 44 AR.
Pebam Prem, secretary Rotary Club Imphal said that the club has been organising such medical camps in Manipur for the last 48 years and they will continue to do so in future in remote places.
