Waiting shed inaugurated

As part of its continuous effort to reach out to locals and to establish better relations with them, 69 Battalion CRPF constructed and dedicated a waiting shed at Marjing Sporting Club, Heingang Awang Leikai, Mantripukhri, said a press release issuedby Commandant, 69 Bn CRPF.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Omkar Nath, Commandant as the chief guest among others including officers, SOs, Jawans and locals.
It stated that the Battalion has organised four CAPs during 2019-20 in the deployment area of Manipur in which water storage tanks and solar lamps were distributed to poor and needy, constructed inter village football tournament for future prospects of local youth and constructed an inter village football tournament apart from constructing a toilet with bathroom attached at Mantripukhri, it said.
Speaking at the function, the Commandant assured that CRPF will continue to serve the people and will contribute for their growth, development and prosperity while further assuring that such programmes will be organised in the near future.
He appealed to the authorities of Marjing Sporting Club for proper utilization and maintenance of the waiting shed.
Pradhan K Jayenti, ward member S Ichan and other local leaders, NGOs appreciated the noble gesture of the unit.
