One fresh case detected, one discharged

Imphal, June 18 2022:
The state on Saturday reported one fresh case of Covid-19 out of 47 samples tested in the last 24 hours register ing 2.13 per cent positivity rate.
The latest case is a female resident of Kangpokpi district.
At the same time, Saturday also reported one recovery.
The number of active cases of Covid-19 remains at two and both are staying in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,245 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed the lives of 194 vaccinated persons of which 61 had received second doses.
There are 100 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 47 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,457 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 7 new positive cases and zero fatality.
A total of 86 D-type and 11 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 3037 vaccine doses administered on Friday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,85,771, out of which 12,49,145 had received second doses and 1,03,837 had precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48754), Imphal East (30454), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3136), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3279), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,230 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,773 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,20,155 tests per million population against the national average of 6,09,236 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
