Massive social work conducted along Jiri-Tipaimukh road

The Barak Circle Development Demand committee (BCDDC) conducted a mass social work from Baorakhal to Makha Basti Latiangkhal along the Jiri � Tipaimukh road under Barak Circle, Jiribam on Wednesday.
The social work along the stretch of 35 kms was conducted with the support of Hmar Youth Association, Hmar Students Association, Barak Brothers Union, Hmar Inpi, All Jiribam Bengali Students Union, All Jiribam Muslim Welfare Society.
Nearly 3500 people living in Barak Circle and Vangai range took part in the first massive awakening social work, where princes and paupers move forward to clear up the road side jungles.
Despite repeated appeals, the state government has shown indifference to the demands, said Vanlalhriet Hmar, General Secy.
BCDDC while adding that people of Barak Circle have shown the strength of the unity against the apathy of government by conducting such social work.
Speaking to media persons Kh.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, President Barak Circle Development Demand Committee regretted that even after repeated appeals to the authorities and Local MLA of Jiribam for the renovation of the Jiri- Tipaimukh road, they were remaining silent.
Meanwhile, the President of Barak Circle Development Demand Committee expressed his gratitude towards the people Barak Circle and the Secretary of Hmar supreme house Valhmingthang as well as other civil organisations which joined hands for the welfare and development of Barak circle.
