Imphal, June 06 2022:
While observing that the talented and skilled youth of the state are highly desired abroad, MoS for External Affairs Dr RK Ranjan said that if the young people of Manipur are properly guided into cultivating their skills and talent, they would become the best human resource not only in the state but would also be on par with the rest of the world.
Overseas Point in association with KRC Foundation organised a think tank seminar on the theme of 'Employment through employability ' at Hotel Imphal, here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Ranjan said that if the young people of the state want to work abroad for skill development or want to export the products of the state, the External Affairs Ministry is forever ready to extend its assistance.
The NEP includes policy pertaining to skill and re-skilling and as such, incorporating the same will help the youth in identifying the pathway in life which is sure to bring success, he said expressed his wish for Overseas Point and KRC Foundation to work alongside the new education policy so as to help the young people get exposure both in and outside Manipur.
If NEP is implemented effectively, the skilling process will become a long-term and help in outsourcing or operating as an agency, based on existing resources, he remarked.
The seminar was also attended by Youth Affairs & Sports minister Govindas Konthoujam as president and Manipur Public Service Commission former chairman Lt General L Nishikanta as guest of honour.
The dignitaries also released a souvenir as part of the seminar.
