Eid greetings

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed best wishes and greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Governor explained that the festival follows the month long fasting period of Ramadan and spreads the message of peace, brotherhood and universal love.
She further urged the people to resolve to strengthen the social fabric and to forget and forgive all feelings of ill will and once again, wished the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also wished the people of the State, especially the Muslim brethren on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and conveyed that the festival marks the end of Ramadan which is not only about refraining from food and drinks but is also about abstaining from evil thoughts, words and actions.
The noble ideals that mark Eid-ul-Fitr hold important value and lessons that are relevant to all, irrespective of their religion, he added.
Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand Singh also conveyed warm wishes to the people of Manipur, specially the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He also prayed for the festival to bring peace and prosperity to the State.
Works Minister Th Biswajit also conveyed warm greetings to the people of Manipur, especially Muslims, on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and prayed for the festival to bring peace and prosperity in the State.
Inner Manipur ex-MP Dr Thokchom Meinya also conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Muslim brothers and sisters of Manipur on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
