Paraolon pets restored to their owners

Abandoned pets of Paraolon and adjoining villages which were rescued earlier by People for Animals Manipur and Claws and Paws Vet Clinic were restored to their owners on Wednesday.
L Biswajeet Meetei, Managing Trustee, People for Animals Manipur said that following the June 4 ambuscade in the village all the villagers had left their respective houses leaving behind their pets.
The villagers waited in groups at the main road when the animal handlers from PFA approached the villages along with the pets Seeing their long lost masters the dogs jumped up by barking with joy and licked them.
James Dilbung, Chief along with the villagers jointly welcomed the PFA team's visit.
Four dogs and three cats were handed to the owners on Wednesday.
D Moaijing (63) said that they took shelter in Chandel due to apprehension after hearing the sound of guns and explosives.There was no time to think about their animals."You people are sent by god, a God's gift to the village" he exclaimed at the PFA team.
The rescued animals were dewormed and vaccinated by Claws and Paws Veterinary Clinic Imphal.
Dr Devkishore of the clinic distributed dog's food and medicine to the villagers.
