Kangpokpi town sanitised against Covid-19

Kangpokpi, May 30 2021:
As part of the preventive measures being taken up in Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency, COVID Task Force Kangpokpi on Sunday started sanitizing the district headquarters in collaboration with personnel of fire sub-station, Kangpokpi.
The COVID Task Force also bought a hand pump for sanitization to be used by Kangpokpi Youth Union volunteers who have been taking care of burial of COVID victims since the first wave.
The hand pump was handed over to KYU vice president by the COVID Task Force Kangpokpi leaders on Sunday afternoon at the latter's office.
The COVID Task Force Kangpokpi sealed containment areas at Kangpokpi Ward No.11 where one positive case was detected and assisted the health workers in evacuating the COVID patient from her residence to COVID Care Centre at Leikop.
The COVID Task Force also inspected all localities in Kangpokpi district headquarters and detained those violating COVID guidelines by opening shops.
The defaulters were released after strict warning.
Meanwhile, with 16 new positive cases detected in the past 24 hours, the total number of active cases in Kangpokpi now stands at 85 .
Mass testing of shopkeepers was also conducted by a medical team of Saikul CHC at Saikul Hill town on Sunday.
Out of 148 individuals tested none was found positive.
Some construction workers will be tested on Monday.
