Imphal, May 30 2013:
With the people of Senapati dissatisfied over the attitude of the State Government towards ignoring establishment of a Government Polytechnic College although the foundation stone had been laid, MLA of Karong A/C Alexander Pao has urged the State Government to start construction of the college and complete it at the earliest possible.
The MLA inspected the site of the College at TNK village in Senapati district yesterday.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inspection visit, MLA Alexander Pao stated that people of TNK village had donated the required land for construction of the Government Polytechnic College and the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone in 2009 .
However, even after 4 years, no step has been taken up by the State Government for its construction.
If the Government Polytechnic College is being set up in Senapati, the people of the area would get the facilities to get them enrolled in professional courses.
As such there is the need to start the construction process and complete it at the earliest possible considering the need of the people of the area.
