"With the entire world involved in fighting the pandemic unleashed by the novel coronavirus, the people of our state have responded to fight the virus with utmost commitment," said TA & H minister Vungzagin Valte.
Speaking on Thursday at his Dorcas Veng, New Lamka residence ahead of the mass vaccination drive for Thanlon AC on July 24, minister Vung-zagin appealed to those who are eligible for vaccination to take the vaccine and remain safe from the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
He stated that successful implementation of the vaccination drive will be a big step towards containing the spread of the virus.
The minister also appreciated the efforts of various Churches, CSOs, NGOs and selfless volunteers who have been consciously helping in the fight against coronavirus alongside the health department even in the remotest hill areas.
"Their efforts may not be echoed everywhere, but, I am exceedingly appreciative of the outstanding performance they made," he said.
While noting that the 10-day curfew is causing inconveniences and difficulties to the people, he assured that benefits of the different schemes/pack-ages launched and implemented by the government would be extended to the deserving section of the society to help them sustain livelihood.
