TNBA's 1947 Passover commemorated

The Passover celebration in commemoration of the 1947 Passover of the Thangal Surung Baptist Church (TNBA) was held at Thangal Surung Baptist Church, Senapati district, today.
The function was marked by unveiling of Monolith by Rev Th Thangmi, founder Father of TNBA-M .
Speaking on the occasion, Rev Thangmi stressed on the importance of time in our life and observed that a minute or a second can even change our life.
We can either be a winner or a loser in a matter of minute or second.
So we should understand the value of time and not squander it.
He further stated that the Thangal tribe settling at the present Thangal Surung village originally comes from Makhel.
The Thangal and the Meeteis are brothers with the Meeteis being the younger brother.
The present cave in the village from which it has also derives its name Thangal Surung village has been in existence since the time of King Pakhangba.
The cave has its mouth at Thangal Surung village but its end point is at Kangla, Imphal and it is believed that a pigeon released inside the cave from Thangal Suring village comes out at Kangla.
The keynote address and presentation of the function was made by Shiri Anth, Local Pastor/Chairman while Rev H Apila, Executive Secretary, TNBA highlighted the history of the church.
Special gift of music was also presented by Local Women Society and Thangal Laalu.
