On the occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni, Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Friday wished the people of the State a joyous festival and prayed the supreme deity to bless the seeds sown for bountiful harvest.
The CM in his message to the people said the seed sowing festival, Lui-Ngai-Ni reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas.
"May Lui-Ngai-Ni bring joy, happiness, prosperity and strengthen the bond of oneness and brotherhood among all communities in the State," he said.
Following the CM's message, Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand also sent his wishes to the people on the occasion and prayed for a bountiful harvest.
Lok Sabha MP, Dr RK Ranjan Singh in his message too sent his greetings and wished the people, especially Naga brethren on the occasion.
Expressing that the festival continues to be a fundamental element in the intra and inter community relationships, Dr Ranjan said the festival showcases the rich cultural heritage and strengthens the bond of unity among different communities residing in the State.
Works Minister Th Biswajit also sent his greetings and wished the people, especially Naga brethren, a joyous and auspicious Lui-Ngai-Ni.
"The festival serves as a crucial bond of unity amongst the Naga tribes.
While celebrating the festival in its true spirit, let us sow the seed of love, peace and harmony to reap a bountiful crop yield of a peaceful and prosperous Manipur," he said in his message.
