Blessing ceremony of film Phuket 1.0 held

Imphal, May 13 2022: The Yaipha Thouni event (blessing ceremony) of Manipuri multilingual film 'Phuket 1.0' was held at Imoinu Ahong Achouba Achoubi Laikol, Wangoi on Thursday.

Joychand Moirangthem will direct the film on the storyline of Poireinganbi Chanu and Joychand.

Screenplay of the film has been written jointly by Poireingabi Chanu, Dr Atom Sunil and Kokjao.

RD Films and Entertainment, Manipur is producing the film in collaboration with Thailand-based Mbrella Films, Bangkok.

The star casts of the film include Kaiku, Maxina and Eedhou from Manipur and other famous casts from Russia, Ukraine, Congo, South Africa, Thailand and Myanmar.

Cinematographer and sound recordist of the film are Sanjoy Ch and Romi Lamabam respectively while Inaocha Khundrakpam is the editor.

Francesco Tresca (Italy) will give the background score and Russia Mutum is in charge for make-up.

Music directors of the movie are Rahul Blue, Gleeson and Dai Cha with lyrics by Dalom Gurumayum.

It is a multilingual film to be shot in five different languages.

The action, comedy, crime and romance genre film will have 98 per cent of the shooting done in Phuket, Thailand.

Those present during the Yaipha Thouni event expressed that the movie is quite different from other movies that have been released in Manipur so far, It will be the first polyglot film not only in Manipur but also in India.

The actors also conveyed that it is going to be an exceptionally challenging and yet extremely fascinating film.
