Chandel ADC offices inspected

An official team of ADC Chandel Executive Members led by its Chairman Pu Lukhosei Zou carried out an inspection of the ongoing infrastructure development of ADC, Chandel HQ being executed by Manipur Tribal Development Corporation (MTDC) under SPA for the year 2011-12 at Monsang Pantha yesterday.
Prior to the inspection, a meeting presided over by Chief Executive Officer of ADC Chandel L Darsinso was held and interactions with other Executive Members and staff including AIs and DIs.
Staff members present in the meeting highlighted problems such as lack of basic facilities including water supply and electricity, proper fencing, bad condition of the approaching road and the want of black topping of the same, repairing of toilets and office building.
Provisions for TA/DA for teachers and staff were also proposed during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman of ADC Pu Lhukhosei Zou stated that there has been an urgent need to complete the ongoing infrastructure development work for smooth functioning of the administration right here from Chandel district head quarters.
The Executive Members and he himself have come to inspect the progress and quality ensured of the work.
He also assured that all grievances and problems faced by the staff would be discussed and addressed.
After the meeting, the team inspected the residential building of CEO, quarters of Executive Members, Councillor's hostel, residential building of Chairman and Vice-Chairman and HOD quarters.
After inspecting the boys' and Girls' Hostels which are under construction at Maha Union Govt Higher Secondary School, Japhou, the team then proceeded towards DRDA and DC Offices and had meeting with the officials.
Later briefing media, the Chairman pointed out that the residential building of CEO and Executive Members which was supposed to have roofing with at least 0.35 mm GI sheets was found roofed with inferior quality of .25mm and .28mm sheets.
In this connection, the chairman asked the concerned for replacement of the same before the inauguration of the building.
He also pointed out the inferior quality of colouring and painting.
Furthermore, he appealed to the concerned executing agency as well as the contractors to complete the work as soon as possible to help the ADC Chandel function better.
