Body found near ambush site identified

Imphal, June 09 2015 :
Identity of a highly decomposed male body, which was found close to Paraolon village in Chandel district where underground armed cadres killed 18 soldiers belonging to 6 Dogra Regiment in a deadly ambush on June 4, has been established on Tuesday.
He has been identified as Keisham Rajen (29), a KYKL cadre hailing from Nongren Maning Leikai under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East, according to police sources.
The body was found by security forces while conducting a massive hunt for armed cadres in the area following the attack which also wounded 11 soldiers.
Official sources said security forces spotted the body inside the deep jungle, about 20 km from Paraolon on Sunday.
